10 pcs Chanterelle Tree (Spruce seedling with chanterelle mycelium)
€120.00
Latin: Picea abies + Cantharellus cibarius
Strain number: LAB5571
Package size: 10 pcs
A chanterelle tree is a spruce seedling inoculated with chanterelle mycelium. The mycelium forms a symbiotic relationship with the roots of the young spruce, improving nutrient uptake and resilience to environmental stress. Over time, this can trigger chanterelle mushroom production around the tree.
The technology has been developed in collaboration with Wageningen University (Netherlands) and University of Tartu (Estonia) — combining top-tier research in forestry and mycology.
By planting these chanterelle spruces, you support innovative mycorrhizal tree technology. While outcomes depend on natural conditions and no exact timelines are guaranteed, field trials show successful chanterelle growth with repeatable yields over time.
Planting guidelines:
-
Plant after spring frost.
-
Choose moist, semi-shaded soil with moss or plant cover to reduce drying.
-
Avoid sandy soils (not ideal for spruce or chanterelles).
-
Dig a hole ~8 cm wide and 12 cm deep, place the seedling, and cover with soil.
-
Keep soil moist but avoid waterlogging.
Height: > 16 cm
